Fremont, CA, US – Veryx Technologies, a leading provider of innovative test and measurement solutions, demonstrated its Network Analytics solution at the Cloud Connect Zone at Interop, Las Vegas. Cloud Connect Zone was formed under the guidance of the members of Open Cloud Connect (OCC), a standards body dedicated to facilitating end to end commercial cloud services between enterprises, carriers, cloud service providers and datacenter operators.
Veryx along with other Open Cloud Connect Members contributed to the first public deployment of the OCC Reference Architecture which was showcased here. The OCC Reference Architecture was launched last month, giving the world a structure to build the first standard interface for cloud services.
In an attempt to support this effort, Veryx along with other OCC members including Hubble, Comcast, Wedge, Spirent and OpenCloud lab presented the “Secure and Managed Cloud Service” use case at the Cloud Connect Zone at Interop.
“We take pride in incorporating Veryx Network Analytics solution with the industry’s first OpenCloud reference architecture. Our analytics capabilities monitor compute, storage and network resources for utilization and forecast resource requirement for capacity planning as well as predict potential resource breakdowns.” said Anton Basil, VP Engineering, Veryx Technologies, who is also the technical co-chair of the Analytics group at OCC.
For this use case, Veryx provided the Analytics Engine which monitored the number of security breaches per second, CPU Utilization and Memory Utilization and scale-up and scale-down the threat protection and data leakage capability. This use case highlighted the performance and security advantages over public Internet, while helping to determine best practices for IaaS/NaaS standard commercial services.
Jennifer Jessup, General Manager, Interop explained the further importance the Cloud Connect Zone to Interop: “This will really help attendees weigh their options. Cloud-related spending is increasing across all sectors, but it is still a challenge deciding which cloud architecture and platform presents the best immediate option – let alone long term strategy – for their business. So we are especially delighted that the OCC have agreed to launch this showcase with us.”
