The test event conducted by EANTC focuses on latest innovations in Carrier Ethernet. Veryx ATTEST ERPS emulates Ethernet Ring Protection Switching test scenarios.
Amsterdam, Oct 11, 2011 - Veryx Technologies (www.veryxtech.com) is showcasing ATTEST ERPS (G.8032) test solution in the EANTC interoperability testing event at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress 2011 being held at Hotel Okura, Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The EANTC interoperability testing focuses on the latest innovation areas in Carrier Ethernet - including Ethernet Ring Protection Switching (ERPS) feature interoperability, IEEE 1588:2008 and Synchronous Ethernet for Clock Synchronization, as well as Service OAM focusing on Performance Monitoring and service activation tests according to Y.1564. 18 vendors are showcasing the results of the latest EANTC interoperability event live at the Carrier Ethernet World Congress 2011.
The ERPS (G.8032) tests demonstrate interoperability that involves verification of the Carrier Ethernet vendor equipment for link recovery in multiple ring scenarios. ATTEST ERPS test suite running on Veryx XC-1000 platform is used to emulate test topologies for the Ethernet Ring Protection Switching tests. A whitepaper providing details of the testing is available at www.eantc.de/cewc2011.
ATTEST ERPS comprehensive test suite performs conformance, functional and performance verification of protection capabilities in switches deployed in Carrier Ethernet based mobile backhaul networks, as defined by ITU-T G.8032/Y.1344.
