Veryx ATTEST CE2 test solution accelerates development and deployment of a new generation of equipment and services for Ethernet Technology.
Philadelphia, PA, July 17, 2012 - Veryx Technologies announces the availability of the industry's first conformance test suite verifying Carrier Ethernet equipment for MEF Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (CE 2.0) specifications. Veryx ATTEST-CTS CE2 provides verification for both MEF CE 2.0 Ethernet Access (E-Access) Services and Ethernet Subscriber Services.
"MEF CE 2.0 conformance testing presents equipment manufacturers and service providers a number of challenges when verifying combinations of enhanced UNI functionality and performance measurements in real-time scenarios for different service types." said David Charlu, CEO of Veryx Technologies. "The availability of Veryx ATTEST-CTS CE2 test suite with built-in automation and reporting capabilities is timely because it results in significant speeding-up of testing cycles and faster "time-to-market" for MEF CE 2.0." he added.
In February this year, MEF had announced the launch of Carrier Ethernet 2.0 (MEF CE 2.0), characterized by three powerful and standardized features: Multiple Classes of Service (Multi-CoS), Interconnect and Manageability. CE 2.0 reflects major new capabilities of E-Line and E-LAN, as well as the addition of new E-Tree and E-Access services, all of which are fully verified by Veryx ATTEST-CTS CE2. MEF CE 2.0 builds further on MEF 9 and MEF 14, which have now been re-branded as Carrier Ethernet 1.0.
In addition to the credibility leveraged from CE 2.0 conformance, equipment manufacturers are keen to provide support for MEF CE 2.0, since it can provide service efficiency and higher differentiation for their products, supporting applications as diverse as cloud-based delivery, mobile backhaul, streamed/interactive video, etc. Similarly, service providers will be able to provide enterprises the services that closely match the performance and QoS requirements of each application.
In combination with ATTEST-CTS MEF 9, MEF 14 test suites and Carrier Ethernet OAM test suites for verification of CFM (IEEE 802.1ag), Service OAM (ITU-T Y.1731) and Link OAM (802.3-2005 Clause 57), Veryx offers a comprehensive Carrier Ethernet OAM (CE OAM) Test Solution for Equipment Manufacturers and Service Providers.
